In-Tune Mental Health LLC. works with
-individual clients and is available to provide
-customized contracts for music therapy services within
-drug and alcohol addiction centers,
-behavioral health centers,
-abuse victim outreach programs, and
-hospice care organizations.
Music experiences may include lyric analysis, listening activities for relaxation, drumming, singing and music improvisation and are combined with traditional talk therapy when appropriate to provide compassionate ethical treatment for those in need.
Music therapy is especially useful in the treatment of individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Music is an alternate means of communication and can be used as a tool in teaching the individual with autism to speak.
Abigail Peace MA, MT-BC. LPC. is a board certified music therapist with a Master's Degree in Music Therapy and has years of experience working with children with autism and developmental disabilities. Abigail is also a licensed professional counselor and has done consult work for local psychologist Dr. Mary Wiley and performed clinical training in a state correctional facility psychiatric unit, a long term care facility dealing with hospice and palliative care and has done supportive work with families of individuals suffering from developmental and/or physical illness. Abigail has provided group music therapy to clients with PTSD at a local summer camp for children and teen survivors of trauma and currently provides group music therapy at Pyramid Health Care, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.
Lawanda Barnett, CRC, BS-L, LPC is a Licensed Professional
Counselor. She has a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and has 10
years experience working with children with autism and behavioral health
disorders. Lawanda has experience providing support for the families of the
children she has worked with. She also has experience with providing substance
abuse counseling and providing services to people with developmental disabilities, depression, anxiety, and trauma histories. Lawanda is certified in Pet Therapy and brings a therapy animal into sessions when appropriate. She utilizes art based interventions, Play Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and customizes treatment modalities to meet the needs of the individual client.

if exiting from 99 N, turn left onto Frankstown rd.
if exiting from 99 S, turn right onto Frankstown rd.

Take rt 22 East. Mielnik's will be on your left on rt 22 two miles from the intersection of rt. 36 and 22.
